  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup fresh raspberries
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar for dusting, optional
  • maple syrup for serving, optional

Equipment

  • 9x9 inch baking dish
  • Electric mixer
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Spread the broken croissant pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish. Place all the berries evenly over croissants.
  3. Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until fluffy. Gradually add the sugar, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour this mixture evenly all over the croissants and berries. Cover dish and place in the fridge for 15 minutes or up to 14 hours.
  5. Remove cover and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and set. Serve warm with powdered sugar and/or syrup, if desired.

Notes

  • Use day-old croissants for best texture
  • Fresh berries work better than frozen to prevent sogginess
  • Can be prepped the night before and baked in the morning
  • Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days
